How much does Leave Balance cost for Australian businesses?

Two flat-rate tiers, both with unlimited employees. The Leave tier is AUD $29/month or $290/year — covers leave requests, approvals, balances, and Slack/Teams. The Workforce tier is AUD $69/month or $690/year — adds rostering, shift scheduling, open shifts, swaps, compliance guardrails (Fair Work + state public holidays), and a native iOS/Android app.

A team of 10 pays the same as a team of 200 on either tier. Even at the Workforce tier, you stay 5–10x cheaper than Deputy or Tanda once your team is past 30 employees.

Is Leave Balance compliant with the Fair Work Act?

Leave Balance supports all leave types mandated by the National Employment Standards — annual leave, personal/carer's leave, compassionate leave, family and domestic violence leave, community service leave, and long service leave.

You can configure leave policies to match your applicable Modern Award, and leave balances are calculated automatically to reduce the risk of underpayment.

What happens when my free trial ends?

Once your 14-day trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the plan you chose during registration.

You can cancel at any time before the trial ends from your account settings — no questions asked.

Is there a long-term contract or commitment?

No long-term contracts. Monthly plans are billed month-to-month and can be cancelled anytime.

Annual plans are billed once per year and offer a saving compared to the monthly rate.

Can I track long service leave with Leave Balance?

Yes. Long service leave entitlements vary by state, and Leave Balance lets you set up separate policies for each jurisdiction your team operates in.

Accruals are tracked automatically, so you can see pro-rata entitlements and plan for upcoming milestones.

Does Leave Balance handle state-specific public holidays?

Yes. You can configure public holidays for every Australian state and territory — NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, and NT.

Leave calculations automatically account for the correct public holidays based on each employee's work location.

Is attendance tracking included in the AUD $29/month price?

Yes. Attendance tracking — employee check-in/out, late detection, absence resolution, overtime tracking, geolocation, and analytics — is included at no extra cost.

Tanda charges AUD $384+/month for 30 employees for time and attendance. Leave Balance includes both leave management and attendance tracking at AUD $29/month flat.
