The beta is evaluating recorded hours and configurable overtime thresholds. Employers must assess working-time, contract, privacy, and record-keeping obligations themselves.
Absence resolution
When someone does not check in, managers get notified. Resolve absences as LWOP, excused, or apply retroactive leave - all in one click.
Attendance analytics
Spot absence patterns, track punctuality rates, and see department-level breakdowns. Overtime hours and late arrival trends are visualised automatically.
Optional geolocation under evaluation
The beta can evaluate location capture at check-in when explicitly enabled. Participating employers remain responsible for lawful basis, notice, consent where required, retention, and access controls.

No. The generally available Leave plan covers leave management for unlimited employees. Attendance, shift, and roster workflows belong to the separate, invite-only Workforce web beta.
Workforce has no public price or checkout. Applying for the beta does not start a trial or select a subscription.
02What working-time information does the UK beta evaluate?
The beta is evaluating daily check-in and check-out records, calculated hours, and configurable overtime thresholds.
It does not determine Working Time Regulations compliance. Participating employers must validate records, averaging periods, opt-outs, contracts, retention, and other obligations.
03What happens when an employee forgets to check in?
Employees who have not checked in are flagged on the daily attendance view as 'Not Checked In'. At the end of the day, the absence detection system marks them as absent.
Managers can resolve unaccounted absences as LWOP (full or half day), excused, or apply a retroactive leave request. Employees can also submit a retroactive check-in request for manager approval.
04How is geolocation handled in the beta?
Candidate geolocation is optional and evaluated only when explicitly enabled for a participating account; it is not continuous tracking.
This does not establish GDPR compliance. Employers must confirm lawful basis, transparency, proportionality, retention, employee rights, and access controls before enabling location capture.
05Can managers see attendance for just their team, not the whole company?
Yes. Managers and approvers see attendance data scoped to their direct reports only. Only administrators have access to the full company attendance view.
06Does attendance tracking work alongside leave management?
Attendance and leave are fully integrated. Employees on approved leave are automatically shown as 'On Leave' in the attendance view - no check-in required. Holidays and weekends are detected automatically.
Half-day leave is supported too. If an employee is on half-day leave, they can check in for the other half of the day.
